Rian Gauvreau
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Rian co-founded Aeon Health alongside Dr. Farahani and Matthew King after years of firsthand experience with outdated EMR systems in primary care. Based in Vancouver, he brings a proven track record of building category-defining software companies. Rian is also the co-founder and board member of Clio, the leading cloud-based legal practice management platform. At Aeon, he is focused on transforming healthcare software—bringing modern, intuitive technology back to the frontlines of patient care.
Dr. Ali Farahani
Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ali Farahani is a practicing physician and entrepreneur who co-founded Aeon Health in 2022 with the goal of modernizing EMR software for primary care clinics. Frustrated by outdated systems, he is focused on building software that improves efficiency and patient outcomes. In addition to Aeon, Dr. Farahani is the founder of Preventum Health, a multidisciplinary clinic delivering personalized, preventative care to help patients optimize their long-term health.
Matthew King
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, Matthew leads engineering and product development at Aeon. With over 18 years of experience as a software engineer and technology leader, he has built and scaled high-performing teams at companies like Clio, Shopify, and PurposeMed. Matthew specializes in developing secure, reliable healthcare software that improves clinical workflows and system performance. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and is based in Ottawa.
Michael Chou
Head of Go-to-Market
Michael leads Go-to-Market at Aeon, spanning sales, marketing, and other cross-functional growth initiatives. Prior to Aeon, Michael held leadership roles at Clio and BBTV, and advised early-stage startups on scaling growth across sales, customer success, and account management. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from UBC and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Marcus Stein
Head of Customer Success
Marcus Stein is the Head of Customer Success and Support at Aeon Health, responsible for post-sales functions including onboarding, support, and customer success. Prior to Aeon Health, Marcus held senior customer experience roles at Clio and Produce8, where he built foundational infrastructure to support rapid startup growth. Residing on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Marcus enjoys spending time outdoors with his partner and two dogs.
Ryley Humphry
Director of Sales, Business Development, & Partnerships
Ryley leads sales and business development at Aeon. Prior to Aeon, she led development and fundraising for the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, raising over $36M for a state of the art business school development. A recipient of BC Business' 30 under 30 through her work with UBC and Laid Back Snacks, Ryley brings extensive experience driving growth through a mission-driven lens.
