Closing Out 2025 and Looking Ahead

As the holiday season comes to an end — and with it, 2025 — the team at Aeon Health wants to take a moment to thank the clinicians who continue to trust us, challenge us, and work alongside us as we rethink what an electronic medical record (EMR) platform can be.

This year marked an important step in building a modern EMR designed not only to be the reliable system of record for a clinic, but for running an entire clinic reliably and efficiently. From refining the core experience clinicians interact with every day to strengthening the systems working quietly behind the scenes, we’ve reached several meaningful milestones in our effort to support better care with less administrative burden.

What 2025 Was All About

This year was largely about listening — and about strengthening the fundamentals.

Throughout 2025, we spoke with physicians, clinic owners, and staff about the realities of running a modern practice. The feedback was consistent: documentation often extends beyond clinic hours, workflows don’t reflect how care is actually delivered, and many systems grow harder to manage as clinics scale.

In response, our focus was on improving the everyday experience of using Aeon while also reinforcing the underlying systems that clinics depend on. That meant refining core workflows, reducing unnecessary steps, and ensuring the platform feels intuitive from the first login — while also investing heavily in the infrastructure that keeps everything connected, reliable, and resilient.

Much of this work happened beneath the surface. It wasn’t always visible, but it was essential to building a system clinics can rely on to support their operations day in and day out.

We also learned a great deal about what clinics value — and what they find frustrating — when working with existing EMRs and vendors. While earning trust as a newer company isn’t easy, it became clear that many clinics are actively looking for systems that are thoughtfully built from the ground up, not layered on over time.

A Few Milestones Worth Marking

As the year wraps up, there are a few milestones we’re proud to acknowledge.

We achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, reinforcing our commitment to security, privacy, and trust — all of which are foundational for any system responsible for patient data and clinic operations.

On the product side, we made major inroads across core workflows and reached what we consider a clinic-ready feature set. This included meaningful improvements to charting and task organization, as well as continued work on the underlying architecture that allows clinics to coordinate care, track work, and scale without added complexity.

Insights from real users shaped nearly every design decision this year. Those conversations reminded us why this work matters — and why clinical software should support care without becoming something clinicians have to think about.

The feedback we received helped validate our direction. We consistently heard that Aeon’s interface feels clean and well-designed, that the charting experience is intuitive, and that issue tagging helps teams stay organized without adding overhead.

We also had encouraging conversations about what a modern system of record could look like — one capable of supporting everything from solo practitioners to multi-physician clinics operating with real scale and complexity. Alongside this, we made early progress on strategic partnerships and began establishing a presence at several prominent healthtech conferences.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into 2026, our focus is clear.

We’re continuing to build Aeon as a system clinics can rely on — one that quietly handles complexity in the background so clinicians can focus on patient care. That means helping more clinics save time, streamline workflows, and operate more smoothly as healthcare delivery continues to evolve.

We’ll also be strengthening every part of the clinician experience, from onboarding and training to ongoing support, so adopting Aeon feels steady and well supported rather than disruptive.

Looking ahead, we’ll continue investing in the foundation of the platform — cloud-native, AI-ready, and designed around real clinic workflows — while delivering thoughtful improvements shaped by what clinicians tell us matters most.

We believe meaningful progress in healthcare technology comes from working with clinicians, not at them. In 2026, we’re looking forward to deeper conversations, shared learning, and continued collaboration.

A Season of Thanks

To every healthcare provider who took time this year to share feedback, explore Aeon, or simply encourage us along the way — thank you. Your work is demanding, important, and often unseen, and we’re honoured to support you.
